Submission Guidelines
Framing
All paintings, prints, illustrations and drawings that are not on hanging canvasses must be framed. When supplying the size, it must include the frame if there is one. Traditional gallery frames preferred.
Hanging
Submissions must include hanging attachments (hooks or wires) on the frames and canvases. Your submission will be rejected, and you’ll be required to fix attachments if not supplied with them for entry.
We are not accepting:
Pieces containing toxic/noxious or flammable substances, any human bodily tissue/fluids, any dangerous electrical components or appliances, any concrete or other very heavy items.
Sales
You can sell your art at Dark Fest. If you provide a sale price, we will include it in the programme listing and display it next to your submission on the gallery wall. We don't take commission for any sales. You will manage the sale with the buyer directly when they contact you. If sold, your piece will remain at the gallery for the duration of the exhibition.
Exhibition Location
Please be aware that the exhibition is in a room in a pub (The Toad in the Hole, Worthing). The room will be open to the public after the private viewing for the duration of the exhibition, which is part of the Worthing Festival. The art will be secured on a wall.
Liability
Your artwork will be secured safely to our gallery walls and locked in the pub when the pub is closed. We can’t accept liability for art pieces, please ensure your art is insured.
Privacy
We will only be using your details for the purposes of this exhibition. Your details will not be shared with anybody else. We’ll only contact you regarding your submission.
